Bernard Chênevert wins the Best of the Best Award for General Manager of the year within the InterContinental hotel chain
MONTREAL, November 7, 2011 – On Wednesday, October 26, 2011, the Best of the Best Awards were given during the 2011 InterContinental Hotels Group Americas Investors & Leadership Conference held in Las Vegas. Award winners were honoured during a reception at the lavish LAVO restaurant, located in the luxurious Palazzo, for the outstanding and unique service they demonstrated to their property and their guests throughout the year. The General Manager’s evaluation was based on the hotels’ operating performance, the guest satisfaction index, as well as, the community involvement and personal aptitudes of the individual. «I am very excited and honoured to receive this recognition in the presence of my peers, and I wish to share it with all my team members! » announced Bernard Chênevert, who was awarded the Best of the Best General Manager of the year. With great dynamism and for more than three years, Mr. Chênevert has held this position at the InterContinental Montreal, whose owners are the proud Swedish group Pandox Hotels.
This award highlights the exceptional performance of the hotel on the Montreal market over the last few years. In 2010, the quality of the hotel was recognized during the 25th edition of the Grands Prix du tourisme québecois when the InterContinental Montreal received the prestigious Ulysses Award for for the best hotel in Montreal (2010/2011). Recently, the distinguished British publication Condé Nast included the InterContinental Montreal in the Top 40s across Canada. Also, this recognition underlines the implication of Mr. Bernard Chênevert with Centre Philou, 24h Tremblant, Fondation Gérard-Delage, as well as his constant support to the hotel community through the Fondation québécoise de la relève en tourisme and as a member of the Tourisme Montreal Board and VP of the Hotel Association of Greater Montreal.
