The gigantic summer music celebration features 12 days of non-stop entertainment, from noon to midnight, right in the heart of downtown Montreal. An immense city block is closed to traffic, as right of way is given exclusively to pedestrians, creating a festive and secure spot where more than 350 free concerts take place on 10 outdoor stages - and all this in a peaceful, urban atmosphere! It's the summer celebration par excellence for people of all ages and origins, a cultural breath of fresh air, and a place for incredible musical discoveries with influences such as jazz, blues, latin-jazz, brazilian, cuban, african, reggae, contemporary and electronica.

Thousands of artists, musicians, famous singers, rising stars and promising talent from a dozen countries meet up each summer in North America largest Francophone city to celebrate the diversity and rhythms of French music from around the world. Traffic comes to a halt for the occasion, and hundreds of thousands of festival-goers invade Montreal's downtown streets to take in around 150 free shows over 10 days on six specially designed outdoor stages throughout with programming that delivers sensational creations and surprise collaborations.
